We have eased back into live performances. We did a few shows in the fall of 2021 and we played an amazing show in Iva, SC in early March of this year. But now the floodgates have opened and we are back at it--and we cannot wait! We will be performing at the 2022 Cumberland Trail Spring Festival in late April, we'll be Cherry Street Tavern's Artist in Residency every Thursday night during the month of July, we are headed to Clayton, GA in July and then headed to Ben's hometown of Marshall, NC in late September.
We could go on and on because we are so excited about these upcoming performances, but why don't you just head over to our SHOWS page to learn more. We hope to see you out there somewhere!!
Welcome
Thank you for visiting the official website for Magic Birds, a Chattanooga, TN-based band made up of Scott Bruce and Ben Ezell. Delivering their own brand of Americana music, the duo blends together elements of classic country, bluegrass and folk, producing a style of music that exemplifies the sound that has helped shape their lives. Check out the site, see where the next performance will be and take a listen to a few tunes. Hope you like what you hear!
We are headed back to Slick's! This is the last Saturday before the 2022 college football season starts, so come out to Slick's and enjoy some great food, tasty drinks and some entertainment from Magic Birds! We will be outside in the patio area, and we cannot wait to see you all again soon!
We are headed to NC for the first time and are even more excited because Marshall is Ben's hometown! We'll be performing at Mad Co. Brew House on Sat 9/24 from 5-8pm, right after the Art on the Island Arts Festival in downtown. So, after you enjoy your time at the art festival, come join us for Ben's homecoming. We hope to see some old friends and cannot wait to make some new ones!
This will be our debut performance at Songbirds and we are excited to be getting this opportunity to open the show for 49 Winchester, a Virginia-based band that is on the brink of breaking onto the national scene with their unique brand of tear-in-your-beer alt-country, sticky barroom floor rock-n-roll and high-octane Appalachian folk. We will start the night off with a set of our blend of Americana music and will gladly hand the mic over to 49 Winchester. Come out early to see us perform and then be prepared to experience 49 Winchester in a small, intimate setting while you can! Doors @ 7pm, Show @ 8pm
